- No difficulties - this is a hike with some very easy scrambling opportunities if you look hard for them.
Hanneke, Jeff, Reanne and I did Read’s Tower in August 2002. The weather was supposed to be really bad but we decided that since we had a babysitter and everything we would go anyway. Good thing we decided that! The weather turned out very nice. This is an easy / short half day trip that could easily be combined with Mount Sparrowhawk, which looms over the summit by many hundreds of meters.
